Size
guide.
Measure once, order once. Our fits run boxy by design, so the numbers matter more than the letter on the label.
1Men's and unisex measurements
These are garment measurements — the piece laid flat, not your body. Compare them against something you already own and like the fit of, and you will get it right first time.
2Women's measurements
The women’s range is cut for women and built to the same spec — same fabric weight, same stitching, same guarantee. The measurements are different because the pattern is.
[note about how the garments are measured]
3How to measure
Use a soft tape, keep it level, and do not pull it tight. Measuring a garment you already own and wear is more reliable than measuring yourself.
Measuring a garment
- Chest or bust — lay it flat, fasten it, and measure straight across from one underarm seam to the other. Double that number to compare against a body measurement
- Body length — from the highest point of the shoulder, beside the collar, straight down to the hem
- Sleeve — from the shoulder seam along the outside of the sleeve to the end of the cuff
- Waist — across the top of the waistband, flat, and doubled
- Hip — across the widest point below the waistband, flat, and doubled
- Inseam — from the crotch seam straight down the inside leg to the hem
Measuring yourself
- Chest or bust — around the fullest part, tape level under the arms, arms down
- Waist — around your natural waist, where your body bends side to side
- Hip — around the fullest part, feet together
4Fit, and being between sizes
Our tops are cut boxy on purpose, and some pieces are deliberately oversized. Each product page says which — read the fit note there before you decide, because an oversized piece in your usual size will already wear bigger than you expect.
Between two sizes? Size up for a relaxed fit or for layering over armour and padding, and size down if you want it close. Heavyweight fleece has very little give, so if in doubt go up.
Bottoms are sized by waist measurement. If you are between two, go up: the waistband does not stretch much on canvas or ripstop.
Everything we make is pre-shrunk and wash tested over fifty cycles, so it should not shrink on you if you wash it the way the care label says.
5Headwear and gear
Caps, beanies and packs are one size. The caps have an adjustable strap or a velcro panel at the back, and the beanies are a stretch fit.
If you need a specific capacity or dimension for a pack, email us and we will measure the actual thing rather than guess.
6If it still does not fit
Then we fix it, free. Exchanges on sizing cost you nothing inside the returns window — send it back unworn with the tags on and tell us which size you need instead.
That is the whole reason the exchange is free: a size chart can only get you close, and we would rather you ordered with some confidence and swapped it than did not order at all.
7Not sure? Ask
Email admin@spectercltv.com with your measurements and which piece you are looking at, and we will tell you which size to order. We would rather answer that email than process a return.
